Problem:

Customer is currently using three parts to assemble a brake to an electric motor. The customer was having problems driving the stud into the motor and then having difficulty with adjusting the coupler nut for final spacing.

Solution:

By manufacturing the stud and coupler nut as a one piece unit, the customer now had a part that could be driven into the motor by the hex until it is seated and then the close tolerance on the hex height allowed for proper spacing with the brake unit.

Final Analysis:

This one part greatly reduced assembly time and adjustment, improved quality and part number reduction wich resulted in one happy customer!
